Trekking to Plantat refuge

We will start the ascent from the cabrerío towards the refuge, which serves as a base camp for the ascent to San José Volcano (5856 meters above sea level). We will cross the Engorda Valley, always following the marked trail to avoid getting lost. The valley is vast, and we will cross the La Engorda stream, which carries water from the melting snow. Here we can find different paths, so it is recommended to always be accompanied by a guide who knows the area. As we climb, we will have a panoramic view of the Cajón del Maipo and will begin to distinguish the trail towards the Plantat Refuge. Once at the refuge, we will rest for lunch and take photos of this beautiful place before returning.
