description
We will undertake a trek of approximately 20 minutes in total to discover five tracks of a juvenile sauropod, 160 million years old, from the Jurassic era of prehistory, in an undisclosed location within the Cajón del Maipo.
These first traces of circular tracks on the ground correspond to a small specimen of 10 meters in height - which, in its adult age, could reach 45 meters - “similar in size to an elephant, but with a long tail and neck, with columnar legs.”
We will walk along a fossil beach where we can also see desiccation cracks. If you're up for it, we can continue the adventure and enjoy some hot springs in the middle of the Andes mountains (price not included).
