description
We’ll head about 100 km into the valleys of the Andes to enjoy a breathtaking sunset with front-row views of the 5,800-meter-high San José Volcano. That night, we’ll stay at Vitamonti’s zomes. The next day, we’ll set out for a day of ski touring—or “randonnée”—which involves gliding over the snow using specialized skis that allow you to ascend on foot and ski down. No lifts are needed. Anyone who knows how to ski can enjoy this experience with the right gear and guidance. Ski touring means climbing on skis, fully appreciating the mountain scenery, and descending through fresh snow with a unique sense of adventure. The Andes offer infinite opportunities for exploration—perfect for skiers of all levels. This trip features two days of mountain skiing where you’ll learn the fundamentals of ski touring in one of the world’s most majestic mountain ranges.
